Anand Bhatt First Indian-American to be Award Consideree for Latin Grammys, Record of the Year and Song of the Year
CHICAGO, IL – (August 10, 2011)- Rock star, television, and movie personality Anand Bhatt is being considered for two nominations for the upcoming 2011 Latin Grammy Awards. This makes him the first Indian-American musician to be considered for a Latin Grammy nomination. His song “Contigo O Sin Ti” is in consideration for both Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
Bhatt was the first Indian-American to be inducted into the Latin Grammys as a voting member, and now he is being honored as an award consideree as well. The Latin Grammys are put on by the Latin Academy of Arts & Sciences to recognize outstanding achievement in the music industry. They primarily honor works produced around the world that were recorded in Spanish or Portuguese. The event is being held this year on November 10, 2011 in Las Vegas , and will air on the Univision Network.
