Personally, I am a big fan of Turmeric (Haldi we call it in my family). I mix it with honey on days I have to sing a lot. I take it instead of NSAIDs if I'm sore. And it is great in a post workout protein shake. There are some risks/side effects - one of which is that bright yellow staining. Capsules help prevent the mess. Some capsules even mix black pepper in with the turmeric, which is said to increase bioavailability.
